A head start built in practice
The name Appalti comes from Italian and roughly means “procurement”, a nod to the original idea of helping organizations buy smarter. But the real strength turned out to lie elsewhere: in sales, and specifically in winning tenders and public procurement.
That knowledge came from experience. At a time when few companies truly understood how to win public tenders, bid management was already professionally organized at a major player. That’s where the founders learned the trade from seasoned sales professionals. When the procurement market grew, that experience provided a head start, and sales became the foundation of the company.
